From Data to Development:
How We Chose Rollercoaster Retreat as Our Next Game

Introduction

Selecting the next game to develop is both an exciting and challenging process. At Fierce Guppy Game Labs, we are committed to innovating in the hybrid casual games space. In this blog, we'll take you through our meticulous, data-driven journey that led us to choose Rollercoaster Retreat as the next game to bring to life.

Initial Campaign Planning

We started with a brainstorming session, coming up with multiple game concepts that we believed had potential. To gauge which concept resonated most with our audience, we launched several ad campaigns across various platforms. Our strategy was simple: let the data speak.

Execution of Marketing Campaigns

In our campaigns, we tracked key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per result, reach, frequency, impressions, eCPM, CPC, CTR, Video Completion Rates, and more. Each metric provided insight into how well a game concept was performing and engaging our audience.

Analyzing Performance Data

As the campaigns ran, we meticulously collected and analyzed the data. Odd One Out and Orbit Destruction SPACE emerged as strong performers in terms of cost efficiency and engagement. However, it was Rollercoaster Retreat that showed consistent performance across multiple metrics.

Evaluating Player Interest

To measure genuine user interest, we placed Call-to-Actions (CTAs) on landing pages for each game, inviting visitors to sign up for email updates. Rollercoaster Retreat received 5 email sign-ups, while Chef Master 3D garnered 3. The other games did not attract any sign-ups, indicating a lower level of player interest.

Making the Decision

Combining the performance data with the email sign-ups, it became clear that Rollercoaster Retreat had the highest potential. Despite its slightly higher acquisition costs, the strong
user interest indicated by email sign-ups made it the best candidate for production.

Next Steps

With Rollercoaster Retreat chosen, we are excited to move forward with production. Our future campaigns will continue to be refined and optimized based on ongoing data analysis, ensuring that we remain responsive to our audience's preferences.

Conclusion

Our data-driven approach has been crucial in making informed decisions. By letting the data guide us, we have identified a game that not only performs well but also has a dedicated and interested audience.
